Using the Kugel Melter in The USA
The Kugel Melter runs on standard USB power (5V), so it works with any USB wall adapter — but not all chargers are created equal. Many phone chargers only supply 1A–2.4A, and in some parts of the US home electrical current can be inconsistent. Either of these can cause the Kugel Melter to lose heat mid-use, even though it’s still powered on.
To keep it melting steadily, always plug the included USB cable into a wall adapter rated 5V / 3A (15W) or higher — see “Choosing The Right Adapter” below for what to look out for.A 5V/3A USB wall charger is available at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or on Amazon. Search “5V 3A USB wall charger” to find one
The USB cable included with your Kugel Melter does not need to be replaced, only the wall adapter, if yours is rated lower than 3A.
Using the Kugel Melter in the UK or Europe
The Kugel Melter works perfectly worldwide. Because it runs on USB power (5V), you simply need to plug the included USB cable into a local USB wall charger rated 5V / 3A (15W). Do not use a plug-shape adapter with your North American charger — always use a local charger bought in the country you’re in.
A 5V/3A USB charger is available at any supermarket, pharmacy, or electronics store in the UK and across Europe. Search “5V 3A USB wall charger” on Amazon UK or Amazon.de.
- UK & Ireland: Look for a Type G plug charger
- Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, and most other countries): Look for a Type C / Type E / Type F plug charger

Choosing The Right Adapter: What To Avoid
Many wall chargers today are “fast chargers” built for phones and laptops, often labeled USB-C PD, PPS, or Fast Charge. These chargers are designed to output several different voltages (5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V, and more), switching between them based on what the connected device requests.
The Kugel Melter isn’t designed to “negotiate” with this type of charger the way a phone does. Even if 5V/3A is listed as one of several settings on the label, a multi-voltage fast charger can deliver unstable or inconsistent power to the Kugel Melter instead of a clean, steady 5V. This can cause the indicator light to turn on while the unit stays cold, or cause it to lose heat and stop working after only a few uses.
To avoid this, always use a plain, dedicated 5V/3A (15W) USB wall charger, not a fast-charging or multi-voltage one.
Correct: the label shows only one output 5V⎓3A (or 5V/3A, 15W) — and nothing else.
Incorrect: the label lists several voltages (5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V, or a range like 3.3–21V PPS), or includes markings like “PD,” “PPS,” or “Fast Charge.”

Scalp-like in under five minutes
Melt
Stand the tube upright in freshly boiled water for 4–6 minutes, or use a blow dryer on high heat until soft. Never microwave-heated water.
Glide
Wind up the softened product and glide a thin layer onto the lace of your wig.
Blend
After 1 minute, turn the wig over and blend the product out with the flat side of a comb.
Finish
Add a little oil for moisture. To remove, melt it off under hot running water, then shampoo and condition.

How do I activate the concealer?
Melt it first. Stand the tube upright in freshly boiled water for 4–6 minutes, or use a blow dryer on high heat until the product feels soft. Don’t use microwave-heated water, and never force the winder before the product has melted. The Kugel™ Melter does the melting for you. Palettes are activated with a blow dryer on the hot setting.
How many installs will I get?
5ml Mini Tube: about 2–3 installs. 35ml Tube: about 20 uses, roughly 8–12 installs — up to three 13×6 frontals or 15+ 1×6 partings. 69ml Tablette: about 15–20 installs. 12ml Palette: one 13×6 frontal or 15+ 1×6 partings.
Which lace types does it work on?
All of them: HD lace, transparent lace, closures and frontals — even synthetic lace wigs.
Can I use it along my front hairline?
Yes — it works on any lace. On the hairline, avoid very thin hairlines, apply one very thin layer and use a good waterproof glue. Holding time may be shorter because of the oil in the product.
The shade looks dark in the tube. Is that normal?
Yes. Colors appear darker in the tube but apply lighter on lace — except on blonde or colored hair. To fine-tune, add a little of your foundation on top, blend two shades, or use a lace tint or eyebrow pencil.
Will it rub off or feel sticky?
It’s water- and sweat-resistant, so it won’t rub off as easily as makeup. It dries fast to a cool touch and leaves no sticky residue.
How do I wash, refresh or remove it?
Gently washing your unit with cool water keeps the concealer in place for several wears before you need to reapply. To remove it, melt it off under hot running water, then shampoo and condition as normal — avoid cold water until all the product is gone.
How is this different from a fake-scalp cap?
The concealer melts into the lace and forms a realistic scalp. A fake scalp is a topical layer worn with a stocking cap — it adds color, but the lace is still visible.
