Glueless Wig Lace Showing? How to Make It Look Natural
On in minutes, off at night — and a part that doesn’t give it away.
To stop lace showing on a glueless wig, conceal the knots and lace grid in the part from the inside of the unit before you put it on. With no glue melting the lace into your skin, the part has to do all the work of looking like scalp.
Glueless units are the most popular way to wear lace right now: quick on, off at night, kinder to your edges. The trade-off is that nothing “melts” the lace, so dark knots and mesh show more in the part.

How to make a glueless wig look natural
- Treat the part, not the edges. Focus on the parting space — that’s where people look.
- Conceal from the inside. Turn the unit inside out, melt The Lace Wig Grid Knot Concealer (Kugel™ Melter, boiled water, or blow dryer) and apply one thin layer, blended flat.
- Match to skin tone, not your scalp. Between shades? Go lighter.
- Let it set before wearing, then put the unit on as usual.
- Lay the hairline your normal way — a wig band or your usual method for the front.
No glue, no bleach, no giveaway.
It works glueless, which is how many of our customers wear it. If you do use glue, bonding time varies, so we suggest a melting spray or waterproof glue.

Does the concealer work on glueless wigs?
Yes. It works on all lace types, glueless or glued.
Will it rub onto my scalp?
It is applied to the underside of the lace and left to set before you wear the unit. Apply thin layers blended flat to keep it in place.
Do I need a wig band?
That’s your choice for the hairline. The concealer is only for the parting space.
How often do I need to reapply?
It wears down over time; reapply when you notice the knots coming back.
